Here comes the Summer (Fair)
This year’s Summer Fair will take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Clapham (Narbonne Avenue, London SW4 9JU) on 22 June from 12 noon until 4pm.
The Summer Fair is the church’s biggest fund-raising event of the year. To help make it as fruitful as possible, please consider what you can donate and how you might volunteer.
Christian Aid - Thank you!
On 12 May, we held a Christian Aid Big Brekkie outside church featuring freshly-made bacon butties and on 16 May our Christian Aid Week Quiz Night. This year, we were delighted to be able to send £929.80 to Christian Aid! Thank you to everyone to volunteered or took part!
Christian Aid Week
Christian Aid Week this year is 12-18 May 2024.
To raise funds, there will be a Christian Aid Big Brekkie outside church before Mass (9:30-10:30) on 12 May featuring freshly-made bacon butties!
Giving: a cornerstone of discipleship
On 8 August, as part of efforts to reinvigorate our finances, members of the PCC and others gathered in church for a three-hour evening workshop focused on giving.
The Cornerstone workshop, organised by PCC Secretary, Rhian Granleese, and delivered by Father Trevor Marshall (Church of England National Giving Ministry Advisor), explored generosity as a facet of Christian discipleship.
Summer (Fair) is Coming
This year’s Summer Fair is on 17 June 12noon- 4pm.
There’ll be music, stalls, kids’ activities, food and drink.
Funds raised will go to support our work in the community.
Quiz Night is back!
Holy Spirit Clapham’s famous Quiz Night is back on Thursday 22nd September at 7:30pm in Church.
Your pounds, their pennies!
Our church hall (known as the Contact Centre) is 60 years old in 2022, as are its loos.
We need to raise £40,000 so that work can be completed this summer on modern, accessible washrooms with new loos and showers to benefit all users, young and old.
Sip, sip, Hooray!
On Saturday 25th June 2020, we held a Summer Show and Afternoon Tea in church. It was a sell-out, sumptuous success set to music to suit every taste!
