Meeting in church

Following the relaxation of legal restrictions on Monday 19 July but with the evolution of case numbers in mind, we have considered how to adapt the rules we apply when we meet in church.

Until further notice, it will no longer be compulsory to wear a face covering in church. However, when in close proximity to others, including when receiving Communion, we ask that a face covering is worn. At Communion, only the Host (bread) will be shared and not the cup.

We shall ask the congregation to leave space between households allowing us to permit (and encourage) singing by all present, including our wonderful choir. We shall continue to exchange the Peace at a distance from one another for the time being.

The contactless machine at the rear of the church is available for making your gifts, including Gift Aid. A retiring collection will be taken for which we shall provide the yellow envelopes with the order of service. Please give what you can and complete your details if you wish the church to benefit from Gift Aid.

Tea and coffee will be served after the service.

Please direct any questions to Paula and Gavin (wardens@holyspirit-claphan.org.uk). Thank you for your cooperation as we tread carefully the path back to normality.
