The Church of the Holy Spirit does not receive any central funding for its work. We rely on the generosity of our members and friends to support our current activities and to plan new ones. Many people contribute to the work of our church through their time and talents - if you feel you can contribute to our life in this way then please contact us - there is always something you can get involved with. But we also need financial support if we are to continue our work. If you would be able to make a contribution (of any amount) towards our work it would be greatly appreciated. Details of all donations are kept confidential.
Regular donations
The best way you could support us would be with a regular donation - this sort of donation (no matter how small) helps us to plan our work because we can predict how much income we will have over the coming years. You can give regularly in many simple ways. For example we can provide a special envelope for use during collections at our services or you can set up a standing order from your bank account or building society.

One-off donations
If you would like to make a one-off donation to support us you can do so in several ways:
Cheque or Cash donations
You can send us a cheque payable to "Church of the Holy Spirit" - our address details are on the "contact us" page. You might like to contact our Treasurer before making such a donation because you may easily be able to increase the value of your donation (at no extra cost to you) by making a Gift Aid declaration. We don't recommend sending cash by post but such donations are always welcome in person at any of our services.
Debit or Credit card holders
If you have a Debit or Credit card you can donate to us by using the secure online "Donate Now" donation service operated by the Charities Aid Foundation. To make a donation in this way simply click the "Donate Now" logo below and provide the requested details:
If you are a UK taxpayer you can easily increase the value of your donation to us (at no cost to you) by completing the Gift Aid Declaration when prompted. Please note that the "Donate Now" service will reduce the value of your donation by 4% to cover their administration costs. You may wish to give via another method to ensure that we get the maximum value of your gift.
CharityCard or CAF account holders
If you hold a "CharityCard" you can easily donate to us using the secure online donations service operated by the Charities Aid Foundation. To make a donation in this way simply click the CharityCard logo below and provide the requested details:
If you wish to donate by "CAF Cheque" then please follow the instructions above in the section about donations by cheque.It is also possible to make regular donations from a CAF Account - for more information on this please contact the Charities Aid Foundation and ask for a "Standing Order" form.Please note that, because CharityCard and CAF donations are already "tax efficient", we cannot reclaim any further tax via a Gift Aid declaration.
Gift Aid your Tax Repayment
You can donate all or part of your tax repayment to a charity of your choice using your Self Assessment return. You may have already seen the explanatory note among the paperwork that comes with your tax return. We are registered for this scheme so please consider giving in this way, the revenue will also add a further 28% if you tick box 19A.4. Our code is PAA86YG which you should quote in box 19A.3.

Donate while you shop
The parish is able to earn commission on eligible sales from several commercial websites. To view the selection of websites please visit our Web Store.You must order items from the sites after visiting via our Web Store. If you visit by any other method (e.g. from an email they send you or from a BookMark/Favourite in your Internet browser) then the sales will not be counted in our favour.There are many other ways to support us including legacies (wills), gifts of specific items/services or sponsorship of events - for any of these or other enquiries please contact us.
